Stand-Up Comety

I drove to the outskirts of the Denver Metro area to capture an early morning photo of the NEOWISE comet (that's C/2020 F3, for you Astronomers out there). After having a short chat with a State Patroller who stopped to see what I was doing at 2am in the middle of nowhere, I set up my gear. As the comet became visible on the easter horizon, it started to get lighter and lighter as I was capturing my photos. The most spectacular photos came as the sun started to rise. I love the sunrise colors at the bottom with the stars and comet at the top
